Welcome to Teaneck

This peaceful, community-focused township is located just 5 miles from New York City
Considered the seventh largest and second-most populous municipality in Bergen County, Teaneck offers a unique blend of culture, language, and ethnicity. It was incorporated in 1895 and claims some of the oldest homes in America. It gained national notoriety in the 1960s when it became the first community in the country to vote for integrated schools. Located just 5 miles away from New York City, Teaneck is the hub of what Linda Stamker calls “Tri-town,” which encompasses the three towns of Teaneck, Bergenfield, and New Milford and serves as one big, warm community.
